Avery was just as confused as the quarterback was during the Auburn/Arkansas game!

After all this talk about the Presidential debate last night, we had to wear our tax shirt today.

11 weeks, 2 days

Sunday, we visited Mom and Dad in Hartselle for their church picnic. I made Avery a new outfit for the visit. Everyone at church had a fit over her, of coarse, after being talked up by Mom and Dad for so many weeks in the nursery.

We had the best time this weekend seeing our friends in Auburn. Of coarse, I made Avery an outfit for her first tailgate party! The game was so much fun to watch and even though we didn't win, it was memorable.

I have been having so much fun learning to make clothes for Avery Claire. Here's the newest dress and a better picture of my bubble outfit that I plan to monogram for her.

I'm sorry I have not been posting anything lately, as we have been extremely busy. Here's what's been going on over the past few weeks:

On Fletch's birthday, we took Avery on her first trip to the golf coarse...she slept the whole time.

On August 18, Avery got to meet her great, great grandmother and we were able to get a picture of five generations...

The last week of August, we went to Lake Martin and experienced being away from home for the first time with baby Avery

...we learned a lot! While we took almost everything but the kitchen sink, it still wasn't quite enough, and we discovered we needed a bigger car. Two weeks later, we purchased a Sequoia with lots of extra space to grow into. 

Yesterday, Avery turned 2 months old. She had her second doctor's appointment and had to get her vaccinations.  She weighed 13 lbs. 2 oz and has grown to 23 1/4 inches long. Needless to say, she's in the 95%! We are so happy that we have such a healthy baby. She blesses us daily.

I've been learning how to sew baby clothes for Avery. So far I've made a bubble for her, and I'm in the process of making her a dress as well.

Time is passing so fast! Avery is one month old today. She is starting to show more personality and growing daily. For the first time, she slept for 6 straight hours last night! I hope she stays on that schedule =). Her eyes are starting to turn darker now, from blue to gray. I have been taking her out in her stroller in the evenings and she loves the cooler night air. I can't wait to be able to take her to the park and on longer walks. Here are the newest pictures...
